eWallet App Reviews

The best

One of the most valuable applications on my computers. Everything I need to know is stored in the database. The synchronization process is very intuitive and very stable. The only thing that might be an improvement would be iCloud synchronization to keep all devices synchronized all the time. i would be lost without this priceless utility.

Love eWallet

I have used this app from the beginning and through all the updates. I have also tried other Password apps with no desire to move. Keep up the good work.

Great past, questionable future (SYNC)

As a password wallet eWallet is great. Does everything I need… and more. HOWEVER, they are really lagging behind in the ability to synchronize across multiple machines. OSX or Windows --> iOS is great. Requires a little manual intervention (initiation from PC, acceptance from iOS) but computer-to-computer sync is a total joke. All it does is add a minimal level of automation to a FILE COPY! There is no intelligent C2C sync. In addition, OSX can sync with OSX, WIndows can sync with Windows, but OSX and Windows wont sync with each other. Come on Illium… wake up!

eWallet

Takes a little while to learn its features, and usually just use simple formats. Very few negatives and would not hesitate to bnuy again.

Great Password Application

They have a great eWallet for Mac and iOS product that I have been using happily since it came out and the Windows version for over 10 years. All of my upgrades from Windows to OS X to the Mac Store version have gone smoothly. It is very full-featured, but I feel the Windows version is a little bit more full-featured than the Mac app. I would like to see the following improvements. These apply for both the Mac and the iOS versions of their product. 1. Include a count of Total Cards and Cards per Folder so you can compare the desktop version and the iOS version and feel secure in knowing that you have the same numbers in both places. 2. Show the Date of Last Sync and the Date that you last made a change to any card, so you know how long it has been since your last synch versus when you last modified or added a card. 3. Ability to sort cards by last modified date, so you can double check the latest cards and make sure that you adjusted the formatting on them to coincide with your other cards. 4. Ability to setup a template for each card type so that when you add a new card of the same type (ex. Web card) it has the same color and appearance of the other cards you have already setup. 5. Ability to see the cards in a larger landscape view on iPhones. 6. Better Print Layout is needed. Maybe two columns of cards per page.

USELESS PASSWORD APP USELESS CUSTOMER SERVICE

I’VE BEEN USING THIS APP FOR ALMOST TWO YEARS. FOR THE MOST PART IT’S BEEN FINE. HOWEVER FOR THE PAST 6 OR 7 MONTHS, I HAVE NOT BEEN ABLE TO SYNC ALL MY DEVICES. WHAT’S STRANGE IS I HAVE 3 DEVICES I’M TRYING TO SYNC WITH, MY IPHONE, MY WIFE’S IPHONE, AND OUR IPAD. SOME TIMES I’M ABLE TO SYNC ALL DEVICES FLAWLESSLY. BUT MOST OF THE TIME I CAN ONLY SYNC MAYBE ONE OF THEM, TWO OF THEM, OR EVEN AT TIMES ALL THREE. THIS MORNING I COULD NOT SYNC MY IPAD. I HAVE SENT LLIUM SOFTWARE MANY EMAILS IN THE PAST ABOUT THIS PROBLEM. THEY USUALLY DO GET BACK TO ME BUT THEIR RESPONSES ARE SO CONVOLUTED THEY DON’T MAKE SENSE TO ME (I’M NOT EXACTLY A GENIUS WITH A COMPUTER). LOTS OF TECHNICAL JARGON. I EVEN HAD ONE OF MY FRIENDS WHO WORKS FOR APPLE COME OVER AND HE HAD PROBLEMS WITH THEIR INSTRUCTIONS AS WELL. I SENT THE COMPANY ANOTHER EMAIL THIS MORNING EXPLANING THAT AGAIN I WAS UNABLE TO SYNC WITH MY IPAD. I’M FED UP! I GIVE UP!

Long time user.

I have been using eWallet since I first carried a PDA. I was happy to get a version for my PC when it came out. I was happy to get an iPhone version when I got one. I just installed it on my Macbook Pro. the screen real-estate is starting to take up a lot of space now. I like it to pop-up in a small box in the lower right corner - all I need is a User Name & a Password for 90% of the time and a little more screen space say for the web browser or an app.

Great interface but unstable

I have been studying apps of this type trying to find a replacement for the horrendous SplashID. I purchased both eWallet and 1Password and am using both. eWallet has the best interface of all the apps I have seen. It is the easiest to customize and intuitive to use. The downside is thus far it is unstable. My phone app would not open within a week of purchase. Fortunately I had all the data on my Mac. Unfortunately the sync portion of this app does not work. For example I just tried to sync and it took eight attempts before it worked. I followed the same steps each time so why would it suddenly work? The tech support also leaves a lot to be desired. I expressed some concerns and got a short reply. I asked some additional questions, which were not answered. Instead the email tersely asked whether I had followed his previous steps. But I needed additional questions answered before folowing his steps. The interface for 1Password is extremely limited (but I won’t review that here) so I am still juggling the two for now.

Great Cross Platform Password Manager!!

I have used eWallet for a very long time across Mac, iPhone, iPad, and Windows devices. Product works as expected and has done a good job of incremental improvements over the years. Very Flexible in how you can use it to store much more than just passwords.

Works for me!

This is the first password keeper I’ve tried. I need look no further. Bank accounts, remote desktops, multiple-college logins, financial aid and taxes. I just couldn’t keep track of it all anymore. I kept a notebook but didn’t carry it around with me. I needed something portable. This is very simple. I have a wallet on my Mac and a second on my iPhone. Yes, you have to pay for the app twice and remember to sync them frequently. But it’s worth it. So many times I’d be at work and need access to something pronto but had to wait until I got home. Now I can access what I need when I need I it. I started out just adding bank accounts and other critical websites but I’ve been slowly adding all kinds of stuff. Why not keep track of my passport, frequent flyer accounts, my library card, etc? I shared the logon information with my husband and am glad that he has access to all the logons, should he need them. For security purposes, I did set up both wallets to log out automatically after a brief period of time.

Practically Perfect In Every Way!

Yep, just like Mary Poppins! This app covers all the bases and syncs across all my devices like magic. Just follow the instructions and you can do it! This app is up there with my “Top 5 Most Used Apps”!

fingerprint login on iphone is great.

I love it. Please allow for Mac version to do an iCloud sync too.

Complete money’s worth

This is a great password manager with none of the confusing (and annoying) extra features. Been using it since 2004 on PDAs, windows and now iDevice platforms. This new update adds the feature which makes it even more useful. Mind you, this feature was always a part of Windows version but not for Mac. The new feature allows this s/w to Sync with Andriod devices as well as remote folder. I really like using this password manager because it does not save the file on Remote server but on your Local hard-drive. Dont get me wrong, you CAN save a backup of the password file in iCloud but it is up to you to do it or not. This is the biggest reason why I like this particular product. I only wish it had a way to print one card or multiple cards or all cards for physical safe-keeping. Do that and you get all 5 stars.

Does exactly what it should

I’ve used this app in one incarnation or another for years. Does just what it should.

Almost perfect

I have used eWallet for a number of years starting with the PC version. It continues to get better. One of the great new features is the ability to open the wallet with TouchID. The only improvment need is to sync all devices simultaneously over either WiFi or cellular. The current version relies on individual device same WiFi sync. The upshot is if you enter an new card or account on the road, you have to remember to do it manually when you get back home and on the same WiFi network. Despite this, I have tried other that have this missing feature, but have returned to eWallet due to stronger features and ease of use.

Still very good. Minor annoyance. Cannot sync over USB.

With this version (7.5) and OS X Yosemite (10.10.3), cannot sync between iPhone and Mac using USB cable. Have to use WiFi. That’s annoying. Otherwise, it’s perfect.

photos gone from iPhone after synch!!!

photos disappeared after synch, newest version 7.5.1. SOOOOO ANGRY.

Great Pword manager

I have used eWallet since the Journada days 12+ years ago then moved to the PC, and then added iPhone and iPad and now i have moved to Mac i;m using this one. It is great on all platforms and syncs easily I was considering a “more modern” password manaager, ie those that sync over the cloud without effort and was about to install LastPass when i read about their recent breaking… that convinced me to keep with eWallet as it syncs over local WiFi network… seems to me that storing all your passwords on the cloud is about as unsecure as using “123” as my pass for all sites Also eWallet lets me organize my information like drivers license along with passwords and secret questions. for the most part it will launch a web site and sign int though it doesn’t do so well with two page sign in as my bank uses. I highly reccomend this app

Back to eWallet After Trying the Competition

I used eWallet on the PC, then tried two other password managers when I moved to the Mac. I’m came back to eWallet because of its ease of use and because it has the most attractive interface. The icons in eWallet make grouping cards by category much easier to organize. I also like the security of storing passwords on my computer in contrast to trusting the Cloud.

No cloud sync

The fact that you cannot cloud sync a mac to an ios device is a huge minus for this. Lastpass is far superior, though I dont want to use lastpass for IOS because they charge you a monthly subscription fee and I have more of an aversion to subscriptions fees. Support said mac syncing to cloud will come in version 8, so for now it gets 3 stars for the following reasons: (1) no cloud sync for mac, (2) Cannot select multiple cards and move them to folders, so if you want to drag 20 cards into a particular folder to organize it, you have to drag one at a time, it’s a serious PIA. Fix these and its a 4-5 star app.
