eWallet App Reviews

This is the best wallet you could ask for. Everything is there and for iphone it is fingerprint openable. If you want an e-wallet, this is the one. Buy it right away and get going with your cards, ids, passwords, and anything else.

I have been using e-wallet professional for over 10 years and just purchased an iMac so I needed the new version. I have recommended this program for the 10+ years. This was one of the first password keepers on the market and it has been very reliable over the years.

After updating to eWallet 8.0 on my MacBook running OS X Yosemite 10.10.5, I have been unable to get eWallet in the dock to operate correctly. When an application like eWallet is active in the dock, I should be able to click on its icon to re-open its window and its active file. After the update, I can no longer do that. I have to open the icon with a control-click and select the wallet file to re-open the eWallet window. I now have a workaround: I keep the wallet file in the dock, so I don’t need to keep selecting it with a two-step process. Support couldn’t help me, said they couldn’t duplicate it, it must be my problem. I uninstalled, reinstalled 8.0, and rebuilt my com.apple.dock.plist just to be sure, but it didn’t help. I like eWallet, having used it for a number of years, but I am disappointed in the support I received. It is the first time I have asked for it.

I’ve been using eWallet for several years now across multiple devices. It has always been a solid performer, and continues to improve over time. I’ve never had any data problems. There are a few UX items I’d like to see improved, specifically related to editing cards from the search screen, and going to a cards folder from the search screen. If these were addressed I would rate this a 5 star app!

I’ve been using this app on Windows for quite a long time - about 10 years. It’s always worked. I debated whether or not to install this on my macbook - but - after reading reviews on THEIR web site that noted “the same key works on Windows and Mac” I decided to give it a go. Hint: you will NOT get a key through the direct purchase option here or on their web site, you can get a key via the trial version and purchase the key separately. But this action is NOT SUPPORTED. I’m deducting two stars for them leaving such reviews up on their own web site as a misleading marketing move. HOWEVER: this is not an above the board way to install it on more than one platform. After reading on THEIR WEB site about people using the key from mac to unlock windows (and vice-versa), I decided to install the newest version on my Win10 machine, then contact Ilium to see if I could get a key. I was honest and told them why. They offered me the upgrade price for Windows 10. This is their response: "eWallet is licensed for each platform separately on a per-user basis. eWallet for Mac OS X computers, available through Apples Mac App Store, is only for Mac OS X computers. eWallet for Windows PC (desktop) is sold separately and is not included in the Mac OS X app purchase."

I had been using the eWalletGO application on my iPhone for a number of years, but it’s no longer available as a separate product. It met my needs, but I wanted to be able to sync with my new iPad as well as my Mac desktop. I was already familiar with the basics of eWallet through my old app, and I am pleased that eWallet has everything I want - ability to track many different kinds of security and password info, from flexible field tags to category groupings to allow for easy sorting. I was able to import my eWalletGO database by following simple instructions found on the Ilium website. It syncs to my iPhone, iPad, and DropBox very easily. Overall a great product.
